Real Weddings: Melissa & AJ August 17, 2013

Melissa and AJ were one of the funnest couples I have worked with this year.  They both have such dynamic personalities and I loved them from the first day we met.  Beth from True Love Photo has done an amazing job of capturing their personalities on their wedding day just a few weeks ago. The couple was married at The Citizen Hotel in the Plaza Park Ballroom.  Their cocktail hour was in the swanky Scandal Lounge on the mezzanine level and then the reception was on the 7th floor Terrace Room with sweeping views of all of downtown Sacramento.  The Grange downstairs prepared the amazing food which included Bacon Grilled Cheese sandwiches and an amazing corn chowder for the first course of dinner.  La Tavola supplied the linens which set the color palate of silver, grey and a deep aubergine purple.  Shannon from Flourish did the gorgeous flowers while Shana Beals did the bride’s makeup and Hana Kim did the brides hair.  Karen’s Bakery made the scrumptious cake and Tom from Fretty’s DJ kept the guests dancing the whole night.  The pinnacle of the night? Slamson, the mascot for the Sacramento Kings crashing the wedding.  Check out the video:
