Today I experimented with making some tissue paper flowers. I have a new style shoot in mind utilizing tons of these flowers so I decided to try them out first on my daughters Girl Scout Daisy troop. Her troop will be marching in the Picnic Day Parade tomorrow so I made flowers to represent each of the petals in the Girl Scout Daisy. Each petal has a flower that stands for one element of the Girl Scout Law.
To make them, I used tissue paper, pipe cleaners, wooden dowels, moss, glue and then printed out the little tags.
I folded 6-10 sheets of tissue paper like a fan, attached a pipe cleaner to the middle and then trimmed the edges of the paper to the petal shape I wanted. Then I pulled each sheet of tissue paper toward the center, attached to a wooden dowel, attached the tag and viola!
And here is how they all came out!
